 A Time For War,A Time For Peace

 Hello My Friends,My bravenet was down for a bit but to GOD be the glory for working it all out that I can continue to share God's word with you.
Today I want to address the war and how none of us wish to see any of our loved ones having to go into battle that God's word says in Ecclessiastes( 3 : 3) I want to share this whole chapter with you because it is such a poetic one, that even a song was created with it's contents.anyone that reads the bible will soon see that God is a numbers man. He has made all and planned out all.He knows our beginnings to our end,and he does offer us free will,in hopes that are lives can be blessed, but...many times we choose to walk out our own way of doing things and it causes wars and battles within our own lives that we wouldn't have had to face if not for our own disobedience.God does chastise those He loves.
Let's go on to see the chapter here,okay.Eccless.3:

 1.To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

 2.A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

 3.A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

 4.A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

 5.A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

 6.A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

 7.A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

 8.A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

 9.What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

 10.I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

 11.He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

 12.I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

 13.And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

 14.I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

 15.That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

 16.And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

 17.I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

 18.I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

 19.For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

 20.All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

 21.Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

 22.Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Not all the verses refer to this message today but we have to know that if God be for us, who can be against us.We honor the brave men and women that go forth to protect our Nation.We also know that for the most part they are believer's in Christ their Savior and if it should be they do not return to this home from battle that their home is far better than this one and the love commandment fulfilled covers all sin. In John, Jesus said:  No greater love than that of a man that would lay down his life for another.In Prov.10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Excerpts also from Sister Connie Ciccone

Scripture: Psalms 144:1 "Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight."

The scriptures declare that David was a man after God's own heart.  He was a man who not only loved God, but who was also able to express his love with beautiful words that have lasted for thousands of years.  In fact, the twenty-third psalm, which speaks of the Lord and paints a picture of a gentle and loving shepherd, seems to grow with us through the years and has a greater impact on our souls each time we read it.  Throughout the psalms, we can see David's tenderness, compassion, and trust.  The evidence of the depth of his love is mingled in the words that pour forth from his heart.  Yet, even though David was capable of much love and passion, he was also a mighty warrior.

David blessed the Lord for teaching him how to fight, for he was engaged in many types of battles.  In verse two David said that there were times that the Lord was his fortress, which is a military stronghold where he could retreat from battle and be safe from the enemy that was on the other side of the walls.  During other battles, God became David's strong tower and lifted him high above the dangerous situations.  There were times when the Lord was a shield about David and protected him as he went into the raging battles.  The Lord also made David a victor and helped him conquered his enemies.  All in all, God was David's strength and David was thankful that he had been taught how to fight and that he could have a calm assurance that God was with him in battle.

It would be great if we could go merrily down life's stream without conflicts and challenges to face.  And life would be so much simpler if there were no battles to fight or wars to wage.  Yet the Lord, Himself, told us that in this life there would be much tribulation.  There would be conflicts with enemies and also with those whom we loved.  For that reason, when we face a battle of any kind, we must first seek God and ask Him what weapons we should use and how we should fight the particular battle that is at hand.  David fought some battles through physical combat, but God often told him to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.  Once David used a simple stone to conquer the giant, but in other battles he used mighty weapons of war.  Joshua's army shouted the enemies' walls down.  Gideon's pathetically small army broke their lanterns and shouted, "The sword of the Lord and Gideon."  And Jehoshaphat confused the enemy and won the battle by sending a praise team before his army.  Jesus told us to turn the other cheek to those who do us wrong.  What kind of weapon is that?  Yet, God knows the mind and the ways of our enemies and God's ways are never like our ways.  He will surprise us every time.  We must remember that the battle always belongs to the Lord and if we want to win, we must trust Him to teach our hands to war.

Then let's look at the Psalm 23

Psalm 23

 1.The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

 2.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

 3.He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

 4.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

 5.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

 6.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I pray for all the men and women put in harms way today that they will let these words of the psalms comfort them and that they would put their trust in the Lord and Savior of our souls.

God bless them one and all and Father God I pray for all to know and see your plans.Protect us all and thank-you Lord for your mercy and grace that without the blood of Jesus none would have eternal life.In Jesus name I pray...amen

Until next time,God have mercy upon us and God Bless America!!
