Hello Everyone, it's been awhile since I shared a teaching,
time has been flying by.
I wanted to talk with you today about
praising God. He so delights in the praises of His children.
I will share a message and then a teaching of hebrew words of
thanksgiving praise and their meanings
First and foremost in praising Him comes with obedience to His word.
His command is that we love one another,by doing this all the other
commandments will rest upon it. Forgiveness can't be truly shared without the love commandment in place in your heart. It is written in :
Luke 17: 3.Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4.And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5.And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6.And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Faith is a big tool to complete God's will.We don't have to have faith
to forgive, it takes obedience to God.Jesus was the teacher of giving
thanks in Matt. ,Mark , Luke, And John.
OBEDIENCE will produce faith
FAITH will produce miracles
MIRACLES will produce gratitude
GRATITUDE will produce worship
So many takes for granted the many blessings given of God.
When we are obedient to God it is a form of worship for we are
glorifying Him in our everyday life.Today and everyday we need to worship
and give thanksgiving praise to Our Lord.If only people would get the realization that our life itself is a miracle and every breath we take is a gift from God.
Now I will move onto the wonderful nuggets of Hebrew Words Of Praise,Worship and thanksgiving... Todah - A thanksgiving choir Barak -To kneal in thanksgiving Tahillah -To sing a song of thanksgiving Halal - To give thanks by being clamorously foolish Yadah -To give thanks with extended hands Zamar - To give thanks with musical instruments Shabach - To give thanks in a loud tone There is a scripture that 4 of the 7 is illustrated. In Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. Incooperating the hebrew words into the scripture Enter into His gates with thanksgiving(Todah-a thanksgiving choir) and into His courts with praise(Tahillah-singing praises) be thankful ( Yadah- extend your hands)to Him,and bless(Barak-bow before) His name. Now let's paraphrase it all... Enter into His gates with a thanksgiving choir ; And into His courts with singing praises , be thankful by extending your hands to Him,and bless Him by bowing before His name.
In other words express your love and gratitude and if it doesn't come
out as open praise then it isn't truly worship.
Worship is expressing gratitude and remember...Miracles do proceed gratitude.
In Luke 17:
12.And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13.And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14.And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15.And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16.And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17.And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18.There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19.And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20.And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21.Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
As you seen, In verses 15,16 only one of the men came back and glorified God.
I was just camping out and meditating on these few scriptures. It said Jesus healed them as they went, yet only 1 out of the 10 came back to praise and worship Him. The whole bible is like this, that is why it is said in Joshua 1:8 to meditate, does it tug at your own heart to think how Jesus felt ? But yet bigger than this how He feels now looking down of the sacrifice and love He poured out on the cross and so many won't give Him any time in their day. It hurts me so to think about it. Our God is so good and so worthy of praise ,and glory and honour!!
Not just on rare days of the calendar, but everyday. I pray that 2008 will be the year as it is said for new beginnings, that people will bow down to The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, That nothing will stop them from fellowshipping with God through out their day, that it will become as natural as breathing to them. Oh the blessings He wants to pour out to all. Many want to make a withdraw from an empty account. How can you withdraw if you don't deposit nothing into your spiritual account? The closer you draw to Him, the closer He will draw to you. He is a gentleman and gives us free will. It's up to all of what deposits they make and what withdraws they will end up with in life. God bless you and I pray God speaks to all hearts through this message, we always have room to deposit more into our spiritual walk with God.
After making this page I had this prayer in my email, it is truly a God Wink to add here.
Please take a moment to relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer.
Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.
And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.
I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.
This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Have a blessed day; Pastor Linda Begley
